almost...

Hi, my name is Marie and I am a sophomore environmental engineering major/ geology minor, however these will be my first geology classes. I am really looking forward to starting my minor in such an excited way. I love that most of our learning will be outside and hands on. Summer is my favorite season. I also can’t wait to see all of the beautiful landscapes. I can’t say one particular thing that I am looking forward to most because I am excited about everything. For my job last summer I did field work for the Department of Environmental Protection in Massachusetts and really enjoyed it so I am looking forward to learning a lot in the costal field biology class.

For our free weekend I want to try zorbing or black water rafting, although I am up for anything outside in New Zealand. There are so many things to do I wish I could try everything.

Here is a link for an article from the New Zealand Herald that says a NZ vacation is better than therapy for stressed Americans. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/search/story.cfm?storyid=0008EBC9-88FE-1578-819883027AF1010F

Here is a link for a ropes course place near Lake Taupo that looked cool. http://www.rocknropes.co.nz

It's almost time to leave so I hope everyone is getting excited. Good luck with packing.
